Apple Corps Recognizes Global Beatles Day for First Time

Global Beatles Day is getting official recognition from Apple Corps Ltd. for the first time in its history, giving new weight to a fan-created celebration that began in 2009.

The holiday was started by Beatles fan Faith Cohen as a grassroots tribute to the band’s music, message, and cultural impact. For June 25, 2026, Apple Corps is honoring that effort with a personal endorsement letter from CEO Tom Greene and a special online release tied to one of the band’s most famous moments.

To mark the occasion, a newly colorized 4K version of The Beatles’ 1967 performance of All You Need Is Love will stream free on YouTube for the first time. The original performance aired during Our World, the landmark live satellite broadcast that reached audiences around the world on June 25, 1967.

The song became closely linked with the ideals of peace, unity, and shared humanity. Nearly six decades later, the new release connects that historic broadcast with a fan movement built around the same spirit.
