Madonna marked the start of Pride Month with a surprise pop-up concert in New York City’s Times Square.
The event, presented in partnership with Grindr, turned the busy Midtown landmark into a short dance-floor set with lights, dancers, and a crowd of fans gathered around the stage.
During the performance, Madonna mixed older favorites with new material from her upcoming album, Confessions II. The set included Hung Up, Get Together, and I Love New York, along with newer songs including I Feel So Free, Bring Your Love, and Love Sensation.
The show also included visual tributes to LGBTQ+ cultural figures, including Marsha P. Johnson, Keith Haring, and Robert Mapplethorpe. The moment connected the music to Pride Month and to the communities that have long been central to Madonna’s work.
Confessions II is expected to continue the dance-pop direction of her 2005 album Confessions on a Dance Floor, with Stuart Price again involved in the project.
